Gareth Pugh For MAC Collection. Free shipping and returns on Gareth Pugh for MAC Technakohl Liner at Nordstrom.com. Gareth Pugh knows the power of bold. Soft enough to smoke the eye, firm enough to define a line, Technakohl Liner is the perfect fit for his vision. Stylishly presented in the glossy black of the collection.
Sharp, structured and sophisticated shapes characterise this collection with two sides to its personality.
It’s energetic and intense in the purple and dark blue, but more fragile and ethereal in the iridescent silver – like a game of lights and shadows reflecting a dilemma of opposites.
Gareth Pugh’s debut in the world of make-up by MAC is versatile, unconventional and elegant. It accompanied with a short film (from which the campaign has been taken) by the famous director Ruth Hogben (who’s already worked with the brand for the short with Lady Gaga), which completely expresses the essence of the new products: the powder compact for a sophisticated matt finish, the gloss that gives a glamorous touch, the two-tone varnish (from emerald to amethyst) to lashes that give your face a very graphic look.
“I just took a load of the biggest lashes that M·A·C makes and started chopping them up into different shapes,” said the British designer.
“The thing with lashes is that they tend to be a very ‘lash’ shape whereas I wanted to do something that looked more non-conventional and angular: not something you tend to see a lot with lashes.”
They’re modern, original and unique – just like the designer’s collections – and limited edition. Gareth Pugh’s creations come in an extra-luxurious pack for super-sophisticated goth ladies. Fervent has been designed for them, a lipstick in a mulberry shade with hints of black, as has the gloss Outrage with its a pearl blue effect, the Metal-X Cream Obscura – lead grey with a metallic finish – and the nude blush, which should be applied with the Square Handled Buffer Brush.
This has soft bristles and a rounded shape: it’s ideal for precisely blending all of MAC’s powders.
